Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Svoya is a camera app that shows a reference photo over your live camera so you can match a pose, framing or composition. This policy explains what data the Svoya app and the svoya.co website handle, why, and what they do not do.

Svoya is operated by Mgr. Daniela Buchláková, Mierová 1909/76, 066 01 Humenné, Slovakia, business ID (IČO) 53462301 ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@svoya.co.

  • Your photos stay on your device. We never upload, receive or see them.
  • An account is optional. You only need one for the invite program. Without an account we do not know your name or email address.
  • No ads. We do not sell your data and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • To run onboarding, show the right subscription offer and check whether your subscription is active, the app shares limited data with our subscription provider, Superwall. Details are below.

1. Camera and photos

Svoya asks for access to your camera so you can take photos with a reference shown over the live preview. Svoya does not record video or audio and does not ask for microphone access.

Svoya asks for access to your photo library so it can:

When you import your own photo as a reference, Svoya copies it into the app's private storage on your device, so the reference keeps working even if you delete the original. That copy stays on your device and is removed when you delete the reference or uninstall the app.

None of these photos are uploaded to us or to anyone else. Pose library images are part of the app and are not your data.

You can change or withdraw camera and photo access at any time in your device settings. If you give only limited photo access, Svoya can still save photos to your library, but it may not be able to show them in the app's Gallery.

2. Data stored only on your device

The following stays on your phone and is not sent to us:

This data is deleted when you uninstall the app.

3. Onboarding, subscriptions and Superwall

We use Superwall (Superwall, Inc., United States) to show the onboarding and subscription screens, to decide which offer to show, and to check whether your subscription is active. When you use Svoya, Superwall receives:

CategoryExamples
Your onboarding answershow you usually take photos (for example alone or with a partner), what you find hardest, whose poses you want to see first, your year of birth if you enter it, and a referral code if you enter one
Identifiersa random user identifier created by Superwall, an app-specific device identifier (on iOS, the identifier for vendor), and store transaction identifiers
Device and app informationdevice model, operating system and version, app version, language and region settings, time zone, currency setting, light or dark mode, connection type
Approximate locationyour IP address and the country, region and city derived from it
Subscription and usage eventsyour App Store or Google Play country, whether your subscription or trial is active, and events such as app opens, onboarding and paywall screens shown, purchases, trial starts and restores

We use this to show you onboarding and offers in your language, to personalize which poses you see first, to let you subscribe and restore purchases, and to understand which onboarding screens and offers work, so we can improve them. Superwall may use this information to estimate how likely a user is to subscribe, which helps decide which offer is shown. This does not affect your rights or the price of an offer you are shown.

Superwall does not receive your photos, and we do not ask for your name or email address. Superwall's own privacy policy is available at superwall.com/privacy.

4. Your account and the invite program (optional)

You can use Svoya without an account. If you choose to create one to get your invite code, we use Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions, provided by Google) to run your account and the invite program.

WhenWhat we process
You create an accounthow you signed in (Apple, Google or email link), your email address (with Sign in with Apple this can be a private relay address from Apple), your name if Google or Apple shares it, and a Firebase user ID
You use the invite programyour invite code, how many friends have counted, the status of your reward and, on the App Store, the offer code you received; the Superwall user ID of your device, so we can recognise your own purchases; which store your subscription is in; on Google Play, your subscription's purchase token, which we need to move your renewal date
A friend enters your codeSuperwall sends us that friend's purchase events: the code they entered, their Superwall user ID, the store transaction ID, product, store and whether it was a payment or a refund. We keep a record of the transaction, code, store, product, time and status so each friend counts only once and refunds can be handled. We do not receive the friend's name or email address.

To give you the free year we use Apple's offer codes (App Store) or the Google Play Developer API to move your renewal date (Google Play).

You can delete your account at any time in Profile, under Delete account. This deletes your account, your invite code, the device identifiers linked to it and your Google Play purchase token. Records of friends who used your code are kept without any link to you, so a friend is never counted twice.

5. Payments

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive or store your payment card details. Apple or Google tell the app whether a purchase succeeded and whether your subscription is active.

6. Trial reminder notification

If you start a free trial, Svoya asks for permission to send notifications and, if you allow it, schedules one reminder on your device before the trial ends. The reminder is created and delivered by your device's operating system. We do not run a notification server and do not collect a push token. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

7. Contacting us

If you email us, for example from the Profile screen, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them only to answer you. We keep this correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

8. The svoya.co website

The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Fonts and images are served from our own site. The website is hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google), which processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

9. Legal bases (EU and UK)

10. Who receives data

We share data only with the service providers needed to run Svoya: Superwall (onboarding and subscriptions), Apple and Google (app stores and payments), Google Firebase (accounts and the invite program) and Google Firebase Hosting (website). We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

11. How long data is kept

Data on your device is kept until you delete it or uninstall the app. Your account data is kept until you delete your account. Records of friends' purchases made with an invite code are kept for as long as the invite program needs them to count friends and handle refunds and abuse. Data held by Superwall is kept for as long as needed for the purposes above and in line with Superwall's retention practices. Apple and Google keep purchase records under their own policies.

12. Children

Svoya is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, please use Svoya with the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has used Svoya and shared data, contact us and we will delete what we can.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent. To use these rights, write to support@svoya.co. If you have no account, we usually do not know who you are; we may ask for details that help us find your data, such as the approximate date you installed the app and the device you use.

You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In Slovakia this is the Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky.

14. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, for example if Svoya adds new services, we will also let you know in the app.
